Het dorp Gerardmer ligt op 750 meter in Vogezen. Het authentieke dorp is een gezellig dorp, waar tot in de vroege avond alle winkels geopend zijn. Het dorp ligt aan het gelijknamige meer en is dus gelegen in de Vogezen. Dit noordelijk gelegen, bosrijke gebied wordt jaarlijks door vele Nederlanders bezocht. In de winter maakt het dorp een ware transformatie mee tot wintersportoord, waar voornamelijk de beginner goed uit de voeten kan.
