Baigts ist eine französische Gemeinde mit 350 Einwohnern im Département Landes in der Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Die Gemeinde gehört zum Arrondissement Dax und zum Kanton Coteau de Chalosse .Ursprünglich trug die Siedlung den Namen Sainte-Marie-de-Lurbe. Der heutige Name wird /batʃ/ ausgesprochen und lautet in der gascognischen Sprache Vaths . Zuweilen wird zur Unterscheidung von der Gemeinde Baigts-de-Béarn im benachbarten Département Pyrénées-Atlantiques der Name „Baigts-Chalosse“ verwendet.
