Das Fort du Parmont oder "Fort de Remiremont" wurde auf dem Massiv des Parmont errichtet und überragt die Stadt. Es ist Teil des Verteidigungsvorhangs der Obermosel, der von General Séré de Rivières zwischen den Festungen von Épinal und Belfort errichtet wurde. Seit 1960 war es verlassen und wird nun von Freiwilligen, die sich im Comité de Sauvegarde du Fort du Parmont zusammengeschlossen haben, restauriert.

Das Fort du Parmont ist vom 3. April bis zum 11. November geöffnet:
Von April bis 1. September: Sonntag um 14:30 & um 16:00 Uhr.
Vom 2. September bis 30. November: Sonntag um 15:00 Uhr.
Juli-August: Dienstag um 14:30 Uhr (Reservierung im Fremdenverkehrsamt erforderlich) und Sonntag um 14:30 Uhr & 16:00 Uhr.
Preise für Führungen: 5? / Erwachsene, von 7 bis 16 Jahren 3?, Kinder unter 6 Jahren kostenlos.
Unter der Woche: außerplanmäßige Besichtigung nach Vereinbarung mit Roland STEINER. 06-46-46-13-88.
