Als Hochburg des Widerstands wurde La Chaume du Drumont am 23. September 1944 von den Deutschen niedergebrannt. Ende November 1944 fanden dort schwere Kämpfe durch das Corps Franc Pommiés statt. Eine Gedenktafel erinnert an das Opfer dieser Freiwilligen. Auf 1200 m Höhe erklärt eine Orientierungstafel des französischen Alpenvereins aus dem Jahr 1891 das wunderbare Rundpanorama. Der Blick über das Tal entdeckt Bussang, das sich an die Flanke des Tête des Corbeaux schmiegt. Die Aussicht auf den Ballon d'Alsace, den Rossberg und den Grand Ballon ist einfach grandios. Im Süden kann man an sehr klaren Tagen die Schweizer Alpen sehen. Das Panorama bietet einen Wechsel zwischen bewaldeten Gipfeln und urbanisierten Tälern.
