Die Kirche von Abbécourt verdankt der Überlieferung zufolge ihren Ursprung und ihren Namen einem Bauernhof, der von einem Abt von Saint-Médard de Soissons, dem das Gebiet gehörte, erbaut wurde; daher ihr Name: Abbatis Curia oder Curtis, Hof oder Farm des Abtes. Da die Abtei Saint-Médard de Soissons um 560 gegründet wurde, kann man annehmen, dass der Ursprung von Abbécourt auf das 7. Jahrhundert zurückgeht. Die ersten gesammelten Informationen über die Geschichte des Dorfes stammen jedoch nicht aus der Zeit vor dem 9. Die Kirche wurde nach 1918 wieder aufgebaut, wobei jedoch einige Teile der alten Kirche, die im Großen Krieg zerstört wurde, erhalten blieben. Sie besitzt ein wunderschönes Herz mit Glasfenstern aus dem Jahr 1929, die von Jacques Gruber geschaffen wurden.
