Der Feste Platz Verdun war eine strategische Verteidigungsanlage mit der Stadt Verdun als Zentrum in Ostfrankreich im Département Meuse. Ursprünglich noch bis zum Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts als Verschanztes Lager Verdun bezeichnet, wurde es dann Fester Platz Verdun und ab August 1915 Befestigte Region Verdun genannt, womit alle Forts und Verteidigungsanlagen auf den Höhen der Maas eingeschlossen waren.
Die ersten Verteidigungsanlagen entstammten dem Mittelalter und wurden im 17. Jahrhundert durch Bastionen und eine Zitadelle verstärkt und erweitert.
