Er wurde 1903 gegenüber dem neuen Bahnhof Biarritz Centre Ville errichtet und begrüßte die Neuankömmlinge in Biarritz. Heute ist der Gare du Midi ein Veranstaltungsort und das Herz des Parks wird jeden Mittag während des Festivals du Temps d'Aimer (Tanzfestival) zur Tanzbühne. Der öffentliche Garten ist der Kinderspielplatz im Stadtzentrum und befindet sich in der Avenue Foch.
Die Kinderspielgeräte befinden sich auf der Anhöhe im Garten und der Zugang ist permanent möglich.
