Die Burg Frauenberg, die erst 1370 erwähnt wurde, wurde wahrscheinlich Ende des 13. Jahrhunderts erbaut. Jahrhunderts errichtet. 1634 wurde sie abgerissen. Die Burg beherbergte zwei Öfen einer Fayencefabrik, die von 1785 bis 1791 in Frauenberg betrieben wurde und später nach Vaudrevange (Wallerfangen, Saarland) verlegt wurde. Diese Fayencefabrik war der Ursprung der berühmten Keramikfirma Villeroy und Boch. Ab 1793 führten die durchziehenden Truppen den Verfall des Schlosses während des gesamten 19.
