Het kasteel Frauenberg, dat pas in 1370 wordt genoemd, werd waarschijnlijk aan het eind van de 13e eeuw gebouwd. Het werd ontmanteld in 1634. Het kasteel herbergde twee ovens van een aardewerkfabriek die van 1785 tot 1791 in Frauenberg in bedrijf was en vervolgens werd overgebracht naar Vaudrevange (Wallerfangen, Saarland). Deze fabriek stond aan de wieg van de beroemde keramiekfirma Villeroy en Boch. Vanaf 1793 voltooide de doortocht van troepen de ruïne van het kasteel gedurende de 19e eeuw.
