Tausend und eine Entdeckung verbergen sich in diesem Museum. Chronologisch: von den in Ste-Geneviève-des-Bois ausgegrabenen fürstlichen Brandgräbern aus dem späten Halstatte-Tumulus bis zum keltischen Friedhof La Tène I aus der zweiten Eisenzeit in Cortrat; gallo-römische Münzen und Votivgaben sowie Barbarengräber aus dem späten vierten Jahrhundert. Ein Sprung in die Geschichte führt Sie dann ins 16. Jahrhundert bis zur Aufhebung des Edikts von Nantes, mit der Reformation und den Colignys sowie seinem berühmten Reformierten Kollegium. Schließlich kehren Sie mit der Geschichte der Montmorency-Luxembourg und der Becquerel-Saga in die Neuzeit zurück.
