Das Rathaus wurde am 6. September 1646 bis 1672 vom Lyoner Architekten Simon Maupin und Girard Desargues erbaut. Nachdem es am 13. September 1674 durch einen Brand zerstört wurde, wurde es von 1700 bis 1703 von Jules Hardouin Mansart rekonstruiert. Es beherbergt einen außergewöhnlichen bemalten und behauenen Dekor.
