Das typische Dorf Puymirol überragt auf seinem Felsvorsprung die hügelige Landschaft. Der Wanderweg führt durch diese Landschaften, die sich zwischen Unterholz, bewirtschafteten Ebenen und trockenen Hängen abwechseln
Hier kann man die typische Vogelwelt dieser landwirtschaftlichen Umgebung beobachten: Sperling, Zippammer, Heidelerche, Turteltaube.
Die Hänge von Saint Urcisse südöstlich von Puymirol bieten ebenfalls ein interessantes Biotop und beherbergen die Europäische Sturmschwalbe, nach der man in der Dämmerung der Frühlingsnächte Ausschau halten sollte.
