Het typische dorpje Puymirol domineert het heuvelachtige landschap op zijn rotsachtige uitloper. Het wandelpad voert u door deze landschappen die afwisselend bestaan uit kreupelhout, bewerkte vlakten en droge hellingen
De typische avifauna van deze agrarische omgeving kan worden waargenomen: de geelgorsmus, zizi mus, bosleeuwerik, tortelduif.
De heuvels van Saint Urcisse ten zuidoosten van Puymirol bieden ook een interessante biotoop en herbergen de Europese nachtzwaluw, die op voorjaarsavonden in de schemering te zien is.
