In einer Wassermühle aus dem 11. Jahrhundert wurde 1920 eine Schrotmühle eingerichtet. Der ausgeklügelte Mechanismus auf drei Ebenen wurde in das Inventar der historischen Denkmäler aufgenommen. Das Gebäude beherbergt eine Mineraliensammlung, die die Entstehung der Erde erklärt, und eine Sammlung von 100 Radiogeräten aus dem 20. Der Saal der Rosières erinnert an diese ungewöhnliche Tradition, die in La Mothe Saint-Héray noch immer lebendig ist, mit der Einzigartigkeit eines öffentlichen Festes, das um eine echte Hochzeit herum organisiert wird.
