Dans un moulin à eau remontant au XIe siècle, une minoterie à reprise a été installé en 1920. Son ingénieux mécanisme sur trois niveaux est inscrit à l'inventaire des Monuments Historiques.
En permanence : collection de minéraux expliquant la formation de la Terre et une collection de 100 postes de radio du XXe siècle. La salle des Rosières évoque cette tradition insolite, encore vivante à La Mothe Saint-Héray, avec la singularité d'une fête publique organisée autour d'un vrai mariage. Vente de livres et goodies sur place.
