Das Dorf Chauzeix ist ein schönes Beispiel für die bäuerliche Siedlungsweise im Monédières-Massiv mit seinen Granitbauten mit scharfen Fugen, Giebeln, Stufen und Einfriedungsmauern aus Trockensteinen. Unter all diesen Elementen befindet sich auch das sogenannte Kreuz der Engländer. Es wurde so genannt, weil es wahrscheinlich zur Zeit der englischen Herrschaft gemeißelt wurde, aber wahrscheinlicher ist, dass es im 16. bis 17. Jahrhundert errichtet wurde. Mit seiner Säule mit hohem Schaft überragt es den Brunnen und den Teich des Dorfes.
