Am Fuße des Friedhofs, in rechteckiger Form und ohne Dach, wurde das Waschhaus mit dem Totenbrunnen aus dem 19. Jahrhundert vom Comité d'Animation du Pexinois restauriert und zur Geltung gebracht
Da es unterhalb des Dorfes liegt, verhindert es die Verschmutzung des öffentlichen Wassers und erspart den Waschfrauen den steilen Weg hinunter zur Sèvre Niortaise
Jahrhundert, als sich die Wasserversorgung in allen Haushalten durchsetzte. Die letzte professionelle Waschfrau in Sainte-Pezenne hieß Marie-Madeleine Denis, genannt "Mère Denis", "Vedette" der "bujhaille" (Wäsche im Patois Poitevin-Saintongeais). Sie wurde 1893 geboren und wird über 100 Jahre alt!
