Die Frac-Artothèque Nouvelle-Aquitaine ist eine öffentliche Einrichtung, die sich der Verbreitung zeitgenössischer Kunst widmet. Das Frac-Artothèque organisiert Ausstellungen, kulturelle Aktionen (Besichtigungen, Workshops, Kunstgeschichtskurse, Lesungen, Konferenzen usw.) und entwickelt zahlreiche Partnerschaften mit anderen kulturellen Einrichtungen (Museen, Theater usw.), aber auch mit den lokalen Gebietskörperschaften, wobei der Austausch zwischen Künstler und Publikum im Vordergrund steht. Der Tätigkeitsbereich der Frac-Artothèque, die ursprünglich in der ehemaligen Region Limousin angesiedelt war, wurde 2017 auf das Gebiet der Nouvelle-Aquitaine ausgeweitet. Die Frac-Artothèque ist ein Verein nach dem Gesetz von 1901 und wird von der Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine und dem Staat (Kulturministerium ? DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine) finanziert.
