Als wichtige Persönlichkeit verfügte er über fast alle Rechte, bis hin zur Vollstreckung der Todesstrafe. Kennen Sie den Vogt? Die Seigneurie de Morhange wurde direkt von diesem hohen Beamten verwaltet. Sein Haus diente auch als Gefängnis. Die Kerker befanden sich auf der Rückseite des Gebäudes. Das Gebäude, das als historisches Monument klassifiziert ist, wurde später noch anderweitig genutzt (Gendarmerie, Bauernhof, Maison de l'Amitié).
