La Méca ist das Haus der Kreativ- und Kulturwirtschaft in der Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Es beherbergt die Kulturagenturen der Region, die sich den darstellenden Künsten, dem Buch und dem Film widmen, sowie das FRAC Aquitaine.
Das Gebäude der Méca ist ein außergewöhnliches Werk des dänischen Architekten Bjarke Ingels. Das Gebäude steht an den Quais de Paludate, ragt 37 Meter in die Höhe und bietet von seiner Freiluftterrasse aus eines der beeindruckendsten Panoramen von Bordeaux.
Das Gebäude, das ausschließlich von Fachleuten genutzt wird, bietet der Öffentlichkeit einen Außenbereich für Stadtspaziergänge und eine Panoramaterrasse
Die Ausstellungsräume des FRAC sind für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich (Mittwoch bis Sonntag von 13:00 bis 18:00 Uhr - ein Donnerstagabend pro Monat bis 21:00 Uhr).
