Die Mühle hat noch immer ihr Dach und ihre Flügel. Der hohe runde Turm, der sorgfältig gebaut wurde, trägt das Gewicht des Dachstuhls und des Mechanismus. Eine Tür führt in das Erdgeschoss, in dem sich das Wohnhaus des Müllers befindet. Bis zum Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts war die Müllerei in der Region von großer Bedeutung. Die Produktion sollte Bordeaux und die Kolonien versorgen, weshalb Mühlen häufig in der Nähe von Häfen errichtet wurden. Ihre drehbaren Dächer ermöglichen es, die Flügel in den Wind zu stellen. Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts wurden im Médoc 150 Windmühlen gezählt.
