Das Waschhaus im Marktflecken und der St.-Johannes-Brunnen am Dorfeingang haben ihren ursprünglichen Zustand bewahrt. Sein Brunnen ist aus behauenem Granit. Es gibt ein Kreuz, das an die heilige Seite des Ortes erinnert. Dem Johannesbrunnen wird nachgesagt, dass er nie einfriert und nie versiegt. Neben dem Brunnen befinden sich die Tränke und das Waschhaus, die zusammen eine präzise angeordnete Wasseranlage bilden. Der Brunnen befindet sich immer oberhalb oder getrennt von den anderen Einrichtungen, um seine Reinheit zu bewahren. Die Wasseranlage ist ein wichtiger Bezugspunkt im Dorf und symbolisiert den gleichberechtigten Zugang zu einem der kostbarsten Güter: dem Wasser.
