Der Standort Manas ist eines der letzten großen Feucht- und Trockenheidegebiete in der Ebene im östlichen Teil der Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Seine floristische und faunistische Vielfalt macht ihn zu einem bemerkenswerten und wichtigen Standort in der Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Die Feuchtgebiete sind entlang des Bachs Lombré verteilt. Hier finden sich zahlreiche seltene und geschützte Arten wie die Sumpfnarzisse, das Sonnentau und das Torfmoos. Zu diesem Pflanzenreichtum gesellt sich ein ebenso vielfältiges Faunenerbe, darunter eine große Anzahl an Insekten, 40 Schmetterlingsarten und 20 Libellenarten.
Das Gebiet verfügt außerdem über ein Netz von Heideflächen und Trockenrasen, die mehr als 50 Vogelarten beherbergen, darunter den Schwarzspecht und den Eisvogel.
Entdeckungspfade von 1,2 km, 1,5 km und 2,2 km Länge mit Interpretationstafeln.
