Il sito di Manas è una delle ultime grandi aree di brughiera umida e secca della pianura nella parte orientale dei Pyrénées-Atlantiques. La sua diversità di flora e fauna lo rende un sito notevole e importante della regione Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Le zone umide sono distribuite lungo il torrente Lombré. Vi si trovano molte specie rare e protette, come la Narthecie palustre, la Drosera e la Sphaignes. A questa ricchezza di vegetazione si aggiunge una fauna altrettanto varia, che comprende un gran numero di insetti, 40 specie di farfalle e 20 specie di libellule.
Il sito presenta anche una rete di brughiere e praterie secche, che ospitano oltre 50 specie di uccelli, tra cui il picchio nero e il martin pescatore europeo.
Percorsi di scoperta di 1,2 km, 1,5 km e 2,2 km con pannelli interpretativi.
