Die Kirche Saint-Jean-Baptiste befindet sich in Ruaux, einem kleinen Ort, der der Gemeinde Plombières-les-Bains angegliedert ist.
Sie gehört zur Klassifizierung der "Scheunenkirchen", einer im 18. Jahrhundert in Lothringen üblichen Bauart. Die Kirche ist eines der wenigen noch sichtbaren Zeugnisse für die Verwendung von Sandstein oder "Laves" als Dachmaterial in religiösen Gebäuden.
Jahrhunderts verwendet. 1985 wurde das Gebäude restauriert.
