Der Leughenaer-Turm (alte Schreibweise des niederländischen Wortes leugenaar, was „Lügner“ bedeutet) ist ein 30 Meter hoher achteckiger Turm in Dünkirchen. Dieser um 1450 erbaute Turm ist das älteste Denkmal der Stadt . Es wurde von Jacques Desfontaines erbaut, im 18. Jahrhundert von einer Hafenüberwachungsplattform umgeben und 1814 erhöht, um eine Leuchtturmlaterne zu installieren . Es hat einen Großteil seiner technischen Ausstattung aus dem 19. Jahrhundert erhalten.
Von 1825 bis 1963 diente der Turm als Leuchtturm. Es wird gesagt, dass von dort falsche Signale an Schiffe gesendet wurden , die zum Strand fuhren, um sie zu plündern, daher der Name des Turms. Das Risiko von Schiffsunfällen war höher, da der Zugangskanal schwierig zu befahren war und viele Kurven aufwies.
