La Torre Leughenaer (vecchia grafia della parola olandese leugenaar che significa "bugiardo") è una torre ottagonale alta 30 metri a Dunkerque. Costruita intorno al 1450, questa torre è il monumento più antico della città . Fu costruita da Jacques Desfontaines, circondata da una piattaforma di sorveglianza del porto nel XVIII secolo, poi innalzata nel 1814 per installare una lanterna del faro . Ha conservato gran parte della sua attrezzatura tecnica del XIX secolo.
Dal 1825 al 1963 la torre servì come faro. Si sosteneva che dalla torre venissero deliberatamente dati falsi segnali per arenare le navi e saccheggiarle. Questo spiega il nome della torre. È più probabile che le navi si siano schiantate a causa del canale di accesso tortuoso e difficile da navigare.
