Description

Der 950 km lange Fluss Maas entspringt auf dem Plateau von Langres in Frankreich in der Gemeinde Le Châtelet-sur-Meuse. Der Fluss fließt durch die Departements Haute-Marne (52), Vosges (88), Meuse (55) und Ardennes (08). Nach 486 km tritt die Maas in Belgien ein.

Man kann die Maas mit dem Fahrrad von der Quelle bis zur Mündung in die Nordsee in den Niederlanden entlangfahren, eine Route von insgesamt 1050 km.
