Sturry ist ein Dorf am Großen Stourfluss, das fünf Kilometer nordöstlich von Canterbury in Kent liegt. Seine große Zivilgemeinde umfasst mehrere Weilern und bis April 2019 das ehemalige Bergbaudorf Hersden.
Sturry liegt an der alten römischen Kreuzung der Straße von der Stadt nach Thanet und Reculver, an dem Punkt, an dem eine Festung gebaut wurde, um den Überquerung des Flusses zu schützen. Der Bahnhof Sturry wurde 1848 eröffnet und die Strecke wurde 1962 von der South Eastern Railway elektrifiziert; sie liegt auf der Linie zwischen Canterbury West und Ramsgate. Der Bahnhof war bis in die 1860er Jahre der Postkutschenpunkt für Herne und Herne Bay. Die Pfarreigrenzen sind jetzt dieselben wie im Jahr 1086, wie im Domesday Book aufgezeichnet.
