Der Bahnhof Brecon Free Street bediente Brecon, im historischen walisischen Landkreis Brecknockshire, jetzt Powys.
Die Brecon and Merthyr Railway erhielt am 1. August 1859 ein Parlamentsgesetz zum Bau einer Linie zwischen Talybont und Pant. Der Zugverkehr zwischen Brecon und Pant begann offiziell am 23. April 1863, aber zwei Züge pro Tag fuhren ab dem 19. März 1863 von seinem ersten Bahnhof in Watton. Die Neath and Brecon Railway hatte bis 1868 einen provisorischen Bahnhof an der Brecon Mount Street, aber ein gemeinsamer Bahnhof wurde 1871 an der Free Street eröffnet, der die beiden separaten Bahnhöfe ersetzte.
