Brecon Free Street spoorwegstation diende Brecon, in het historische Welsh graafschap Brecknockshire, nu Powys.
De Brecon en Merthyr Railway verkreeg op 1 augustus 1859 een wet van het parlement voor de bouw van een lijn tussen Talybont en Pant. De treinservices tussen Brecon en Pant begonnen officieel op 23 april 1863, maar twee treinen per dag reden vanaf 19 maart 1863 vanaf het eerste station in Watton. De Neath en Brecon Railway had in 1868 een tijdelijk station aan Brecon Mount Street, maar een gezamenlijk station werd in 1871 geopend aan Free Street ter vervanging van de twee afzonderlijke stations.
