Die Stadt Kastro hat eine großartige Ansammlung von engen, steilen Straßen. Kastro ist ein freies Museum mit 4000 Jahren Geschichte. Die Außenwände der mittelalterlichen Häuser waren miteinander verbunden und bildeten die defensive Mauer mit nur Ausgängen und Eingängen durch fünf gewölbte Portiken. Typische Merkmale der Siedlung sind die Enge und der Mangel an Gemeinschaftsräumen und Höfen, die zusammen mit der Notwendigkeit der Verteidigung zum Bau von Häusern mit zwei und drei Stockwerken führten. Kleine Häuser mit einem Zimmer und schmaler Fassade sind im äußeren Ring gebaut, während große Villen im Inneren stehen.
