La città di Kastro ha un grande insieme di strade strette e ripide. Kastro è un museo a cielo aperto con 4000 anni di storia. I muri esterni delle case medievali erano attigui e formavano la muraglia difensiva con solo uscite e ingressi attraverso cinque portici a volta. Le caratteristiche tipiche dell'insediamento sono la densità e la mancanza di spazi comuni e cortili, che insieme alla necessità di difesa hanno portato alla costruzione di case con due e tre piani. Piccole case di una stanza e dalla facciata stretta sono costruite nell'anello esterno, mentre grandi ville si trovano nell'interno.
