Knockalla Fort ist eine von mehreren napoleonischen Batterien, die entlang der Ufer des Lough Swilly im County Donegal erbaut wurden, um den Nordwesten Irlands zu verteidigen. Es war Teil eines Plans zur Befestigung von Lough Swilly und Lough Foyle gegen französische Invasionen während der Revolutionären und Napoleonischen Kriege und wurde zwischen 1812 und 1813 fertiggestellt. Auf der anderen Seite des Lough befindet sich Fort Dunree. Die Festung wurde an der Stelle einer temporären Befestigung erbaut, die erstmals 1798 errichtet wurde.
