Recess ist ein Dorf im County Galway, Irland. Sein offizieller Name ist auf Irisch Sraith Saileach und bedeutet "Bach des Weidenbaums". Ein bemerkenswerter ehemaliger Bewohner war Seán Lester, der letzte Generalsekretär des Völkerbundes, der dort nach seiner Pensionierung bis zu seinem Tod im Jahr 1959 lebte.
