Ötzi, der nach 5300 Jahren perfekt konserviert aus einem schmelzenden Gletscher erschien und nun bei -6°C im Südtiroler Archäologiemuseum (www.iceman.it) zu sehen ist, entwickelte sich von einer wissenschaftlichen Sensation zu einem Star. Es ist auch nicht nichts, was ihm widerfuhr: von Unbekannten ermordet auf einem Berggipfel, und erst 1991 entdeckt von deutschen Bergsteigern, die dachten, es handele sich um einen verunglückten Kollegen. Ein Journalist erfand für 'den Mann aus dem Eis' den Spitznamen Ötzi, nach dem Fundort in den Ötztaler Alpen.
