Tortona ist eine italienische Gemeinde mit 27.248 Einwohnern in der Provinz Alessandria, Region Piemont.
Die Kleinstadt liegt am orographisch rechten Ufer des Flusses Scrivia auf einer Höhe von 122 m s.l.m. Das Gemeindegebiet hat eine Grundfläche von 99,29 km². Zu Tortona gehören auch die Fraktionen Bettole, Castellar Ponzano, Mombisaggio, Torre Calderai, Passalacqua, Rivalta Scrivia, Torre Garofoli und Vho.
