Tortona est une ville italienne d'environ 27 600 habitants, située dans la province d'Alexandrie, dans la région piémontaise, au nord-ouest de l'Italie.
Située dans la partie sud-est du Piémont, à 20 km à l'est d'Alexandrie, proche de la frontière lombarde et de la ville de Voghera, Tortone s'est élevée sur la rive droite de la Scrivia. La ville est située à proximité des plus importants centres industriels d'Italie: Turin , la capitale de la région, Milan et Gênes .
