Die Kasteeltuin Oud-Valkenburg eröffnet ihre Saison am Mittwoch, den 30. April. Am Sonntag, den 5. Oktober, ist der letzte Tag der Saison. Jetzt auch am Pfingstmontag, dem 9. Juni, geöffnet.
Der Garten besteht aus einem Heimgarten mit alten Gemüsearten, landwirtschaftlichen Nutzpflanzen, einem Ökologie-Eck, alten Apfelsorten, Kräutern, einer Imkerei, einem alten Backofen und einem Wasserbecken. Außerdem gibt es einen alt-holländischen Kräutergarten mit medizinischen und Küchenkräutern.
Des Weiteren befindet sich an dem Garten die Wassermühle (Sjloensmeule), in der eine ständige Ausstellung eingerichtet ist. Für Kinder steht eine kostenlose Schnitzeljagd zur Verfügung.
