Die Sint-Catharinakirche oder Kruisherenkerk ist nach der heiligen Katharina von Alexandria benannt. An der Vorderfront befindet sich ein Abbild von ihr. Auch das Kreuzzeichen der Kruisheren ist hier und dort im Gebäude vorhanden.
Infolge der Kapitulation von 's-Hertogenbosch nach der Belagerung von 's-Hertogenbosch wurde die Kirche protestantisch. Die katholischen Malereien von Pieter Jozef Verhagen wurden in den Schuilkerken aufbewahrt. Da es in 's-Hertogenbosch nur wenige Protestanten gab, erhielt die Kirche eine andere Bestimmung. So wurde die Kirche unter anderem als Pferdestall genutzt.
Nach dem Dekret von Napoleon Bonaparte wurde die Kirche wieder an die Katholiken zurückgegeben. Das Gebäude war jedoch stark beschädigt und teilweise verfallen.
