Erica ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Emmen, in der niederländischen Provinz Drenthe. Es liegt südlich von Emmen, genau zwischen Nieuw-Amsterdam, Emmen, Klazienaveen und Schoonebeek. Erica entstand etwa 1863 als Buchweizen-Kolonie auf den höheren Sandböden und entwickelte sich später zu einer echten Moorkolonie, als um 1863 der Hoogeveense Vaart fertiggestellt wurde; das Zentrum lag dann am Kanal.
