Fochteloo ist ein Dorf mit etwa 400 Einwohnern in der Gemeinde Ooststellingwerf im südöstlichen Friesland in den Niederlanden. Das Dorf wurde erstmals 1408 als Fyochtelo erwähnt und bedeutet wahrscheinlich feuchter Wald. Die Kirche wurde 1832 abgerissen, der Glockenturm mit zwei Glocken ist jedoch erhalten geblieben. Von 1908 bis 2008 gab es eine Kapelle in der Molkerei. 1840 hatte Fochteloo 163 Einwohner.
