Hazerswoude-Rijndijk ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Alphen aan den Rijn.
Bauern aus dem Dorf erlangten durch den Bau von Deichen und das Ausbaggern einen wichtigen Rohstoff: Torf. Um das 16. Jahrhundert führte die Torfgewinnung dazu, dass das Dorf von Wasser umgeben war. Da die Bau- und Weideflächen sich in Torfmoore verwandelt hatten, verließen die meisten Menschen die Gegend und zogen zu den höheren Ländereien entlang des Rheinufer.
