Skingen ist ein kleines Dorf in Waadhoeke in der Provinz Friesland, Niederlande. Es hatte im Januar 2017 eine Bevölkerung von etwa 115 Einwohnern. Das Dorf wurde um 1400 erstmals als Schengen erwähnt und ist der Name eines Baches. Skingen entwickelte sich zu Beginn unserer Ära auf einer natürlichen Anhöhe in der Nähe des Middelzee. Archäologische Artefakte aus der römischen Zeit wurden entdeckt. Später wurde der Hügel zu einem Terp erweitert. Eine Kirche war bereits im 11. oder 12. Jahrhundert gebaut worden, als 1877 mit dem Bau einer neuen begonnen wurde. Die Kirche wurde 2003 restauriert.
