Ederveen ist ein Dorf in der niederländischen Provinz Gelderland, gelegen in der Gemeinde Ede. Ederveen hat 3.685 Einwohner. Ederveen liegt geographisch zwischen Renswoude im Nordwesten, Lunteren im Nordosten und De Klomp sowie Veenendaal im Süden. Die erste Bebauung entstand um 1600. Das Gebiet wurde zur Torfgewinnung von Menschen aus Ede genutzt, die ersten Bewohner waren daher arme Torfstecher aus diesem Dorf. Ederveen sollte lange Zeit ein armes und unterentwickeltes Dorf bleiben und erst im Laufe des 19. Jahrhunderts wurden Initiativen ergriffen, um die Armut und Rückstände zu bekämpfen. Während und nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg war auf Schloss Bruinhorst ein Arbeitslager namens Bruinhorst untergebracht. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg siedelten sich einige Futtermittelfabriken in Ederveen an.
