Blessum ist ein kleines Dorf in der Gemeinde Waadhoeke in der Provinz Friesland, Niederlande. Es hatte im Januar 2017 eine Bevölkerung von etwa 89. Vor 2018 war das Dorf Teil der Gemeinde Menameradiel. Das Dorf wurde erstmals zwischen 1250 und 1275 als Blesingum erwähnt und bedeutet "Siedlung des Volkes von Blesse". Blessum ist ein Terpdorf aus dem frühen Mittelalter und war im 9. Jahrhundert bekannt, bewohnt zu sein. Es lag entlang der ehemaligen Middelzee und hatte einen kleinen Hafen.
