Willemsoord ist ein Dorf in den niederländischen Provinzen Overijssel und Friesland. Es liegt größtenteils in der Gemeinde Steenwijkerland, ein kleiner Teil gehört zur Gemeinde Weststellingwerf. Es wurde 1820 als Waisenhaus und Kolonie der Gesellschaft für Humanitarismus gegründet. Um die Kolonie entwickelte sich eine Siedlung. 1840 hatte es 925 Einwohner. 1851 wurde eine Kirche erbaut. 1923 wurde die Gesellschaft aufgelöst und ihr Eigentum verkauft. 1942 wurde das nationale Kunstdepot in der Nähe von Willemsoord erbaut. Es beherbergte über 3.000 Kunstwerke in einem bombensicheren bunkerähnlichen Gebäude.
