Pietersbierum ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Waadhoeke in der Provinz Friesland, Niederlande. Im Januar 2014 hatte es eine Bevölkerung von etwa 140 Einwohnern. Das Dorf wurde erstmals 1398 als Peters berim erwähnt und bedeutet "Haus/Scheune des Heiligen Petrus". Pieterbierum ist ein Terpdorf aus dem 8. Jahrhundert. Ursprünglich war es durch einen Graben der Wattensee von Sexbierum getrennt. Die mittelalterliche Kirche brannte 1843 nieder. 1845 wurde eine neue Kirche erbaut, die 1878 ihren neugotischen Turm erhielt. Obwohl es gewachsen ist und mit Sexbierum verbunden ist und ein Zwillingsdorf bildet, ist es immer noch ein separates Dorf.
