Vredepeel ist ein kleines Entsiedlungsdorf in der Limburgischen Gemeinde Venray. Vredepeel liegt an der Grenze zu Nordbrabant, zwischen Venray und De Rips. Vredepeel hat 230 Einwohner und eine Fläche von 1830 Hektar. Der Name des Dorfes bezieht sich auf das Gebiet Vredepeel, das auf die Vermittlung von König Friedrich Wilhelm I. von Preußen anspielt, um einmal und für alle die Grenze zwischen der Republik der Sieben Vereinigten Niederlande und dem damals unter preußischer Herrschaft stehenden Overkwartier von Geldern festzulegen. Zu diesem Zweck wurde 1716 der Vredepaal an der Knickstelle der Grenzen aufgestellt.
