Der Große Teich von Beekhuizen wird von der Beekhuizensebeek gespeist. Der Teich war einst Teil der Parklandschaft, die J.W.F. Baron Van Spaen ab 1775 in wenigen Jahrzehnten anlegte. Ein besonderer Punkt des Spaziergangs über diesen Teil von Beekhuizen ist der breite Wasserfall, eine Kaskade, auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite von dort, wo du jetzt stehst. Der Wanderweg verläuft von diesem Punkt flussaufwärts durch das Sprenggebiet des Baches.
